Supervision and Consultancy for Professionals
I have worked for over 17 years as a lone, creative practitioner within a range of professional settings, including education, health, residential care, third sector, community and private organisations, as well as secure residential facilities for children and adults. I have also been in management roles for over 10 years, supporting and leading other music therapists.
I have first-hand experience of the wide-ranging and complex psychological and emotional challenges and risk of burnout that can arise within therapeutic work, alongside the significant demands and impact of being a continually active and creative musician.
In response to this broad portfolio of clinical and musical experience, I have developed robust reflective and self-care practices. This includes my own supervision, which I have attended individually and in groups, with Arts Therapists, Psychotherapists and other Multi-Disciplinary professionals.
I offer a calm, confident and curious perspective, grounded in diligent privacy, risk and safeguarding practices, strong ethics and professional compliance, and underpinned by ongoing CPD, which I offer to support others, at whatever stage of their creative and professional practices.
Those who might consider my supervision and consultancy services may include recording and performance artists, community musicians, qualified and student Arts Therapists and other Allied Health Care Professionals.
I look forward to hearing from you.
